The Area Partnership appoints its Officers and Members at an Annual Meeting each year.
Allison has lived both in Dunbar and East Linton for nearly all of her adult life. Two generations of her family have attended local schools.
She is Vice Chair and Transport Representative of Dunpender Community Council, and is an active Committee Member of local groups, including the Playgroup, the Gala Committee and the Horticultural Society. Currently Allison chairs several groups, including the Board of a large member organisation in the North of England and the Scottish Committee of a national rail organisation. For many years, she chaired the LEADER Local Action Group and was closely associated with many large development projects in East Lothian and Midlothian. She has been Vice Chair of the Partnership since its earliest days, and chaired the Education Sub Group for part of that time.
Alasdair is a retired Chartered Accountant. In addition to helping with the Area Partnership, he is also currently the Treasurer of Dunbar Community Council. He is Finance Director of the charity Belhaven Surf Centre Ltd and a trustee of Dunbar Dementia Network SCIO and East Lothian Community Benefits SCIO. Alasdair is Treasurer of Dunbar History Society and a Trustee of John Muir Birthplace. He is a committee member of the Dunbar Shore & Harbour Neighbourhood Group. He served as a trustee for Dunbar Harbour Trust for twelve years and for Dunbar Sea Cadets. All of the above are unpaid positions.

Community Groups that may wish to be considered for membership of the Area Partnership in the future should contact the Connected Communities Manager (manager@delareapartnership.co.uk) The main criterion will be a willingness to contribute to the Area as a whole, rather than to promote the interests of the particular Community Group.
